Slovene national embroideries

Author of Slovene national embroideries is urshuline Marija Justina Višner. Patterns are my inspiration. Patterns  are as long as is possible arranged into the groups :round and square cloths, oval, albums, pillows, ornamental towels, smaller and tiny motives for independent assembly or for decoration of smaller surfaces. . Altar cloths are assigned many motives. Embroidered symbols are IHS, lamb, years, birds, flowers, verses (on middle or on corner of cloth)… richer embroidery demands more time. Embroideries can replace picture.Size of samples is any, i’ve worked with size only, to selection of sample. We can work also with parts of motives and make new…
I engaged samples of national embroideries in tasks of national identity, which I transformed into screen printing. Traditional samples are embroidered in different colours.
Composing of samples in screen printing will be plain. Collection is conceived with black wool, which is allowing composing of shapes of clothings in collection.
Applying of screen printing of white overlapping paste na black wool gives ˝chick˝ appearance. With white colour emphasised sample that is based upon on proverb: less is more. Cloths are usually embroidered on white cotton cloth. Ornaments in sample are taken from nature.

Design and formulation of entire collection foundations are based on literature Fashion leaf which was issuing adept school in Maribor. Emphasised are years between 1955 and 1956 which was having quite a few feature...Prevailed is Dior’s A -line, narrow belt and shorter evening dresses are found favour. I summarised also shapes of male of tail coat( of pointed shape) and of tuxedo. Smooth and strict lines…In this time was extraordinarily popular also Empir tench (F line). Lower part is prolonged, fitting cardigans , of loose, of short, they are reaching to flanks. Flower samples are popular. Suits of Flinije designed narrowly.
Shapes of clothings in collection are new, fluid and clean lines. Materials suitable behind collection: wool, velvet, silk (supplemental), cotton.
